Benefits of good Health.

“Health is a state of complete mental, social and physical well-

being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

-World Health Organization, 1948

the biomedical perspective, early definitions of health used to focus upon the

the theme of the body's ability to function. Health was seen as a state of normal,

diseases. Health is often defined as a state characterized by anatomic,

physiologic, and psychological integrity; ability to perform personally valued

family, work, and community roles; ability to affect physical, biological,

psychological, and social stress.
